Sarajevo – Finale, Finally

After celebrating Easter amidst Bosnia’s labyrinth and pyramid park, we followed the Bosna river into Sarajevo, surrounded by snow capped mountains.  Living up to its fame as a Winter Olympics host, we were greeted by snowflakes that continued through the night.  We had a couple snowy walk days to remember this last leg of our long journey – not what we planned, not what we expected, but definitely worth remembering.

Flying finale

The USA requires a <72 hours negative test in hand and we shall see how the end of this Pandemic Tour unfolds during our 30 hours en route via Vienna and Washington, DC…

Sarajevo’s small, international airport has a PCR testing office set up in portable containers just outside the main entrance providing results within an hour… the airport’s entry is controlled and provides a cleansing experience… but only three Departures/Arrivals are listed and the airport was almost empty during our preview.
