We left England’s wet weather behind us and ferried overnight from the busy Portsmouth area to St. Malo. Early morning power walkers were the only bustling activity as we rode through St. Malo headed toward sunny skies – on our “Plan B” for summer: find sunny skies and cool water!
Waking up to the busy waterways of French vacationers along the Canal d’Ille et Rance: Dinan to Rennes
After a month of riding and train hopping through Northwestern France: Nantes, Tours, Poitiers, and Limoges, we headed to a week in the Lot area along the Dordogne river.
Beautiful villages throughout the Dordogne…we stayed in Souillac as our base and used the regional bus to see Rocamadour, Château de Montfort and Gouffre de Padirac.
