It took us two days to drive across Spain. Due to corona virus restrictions, we could not arrange accommodations to make the journey by bicycle. We chose a route through the heart of Spain’s vineyards and stayed one night at a B&B in Logorno. The fertile lands were surrounded by a snow capped mountain range to the north and wide plains to the south.
We boarded the Grimaldi ferry for the 20 hour Barcelona to Civitavecchia, Italy cruise – all self-declaration and booking paperwork ready.
Barcelona
The Barcelona port was bustling… but felt empty. We were able to order a nice seafood Paella for take out and enjoy dinner on the waterfront.
